Weekly Study

The first Wednesday evening of the month the ladies gather for Bible study while the men gather the following Friday evening. The 2nd and 3rd weeks of the month we gather on various evenings in various member homes for Bible study and fellowship.

A GOSPEL COMMUNITY IN SANFORD

"I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance." (Luke 5:32)

Jesus understood that sin separates people from God. In this state, man thinks he's experiencing life in its fullest, but this couldn't be further from the truth. So Jesus calls people to repent, to change their minds and conclude that there is something desperately wrong with the world... and with themselves. With this mindset, Jesus as Savior begins to make sense. His death and resurrection pays the penalty for sin and eliminates the separation between God and man. The church is God's means of fostering this newly restored relationship and Cornerstone Bible Church wants to be faithful to that cause. Our three core values that guide our mission are below.

TRUTH

The Bible is divinely revealed truth. Therefore, we believe that understanding the Bible will help us understand God, ourselves and the created world we live in. This drives us to preach and teach verse by verse so that we grow in our understanding of both the details and the whole of the Bible. Then our appreciation of and love for God will increase and our lives will be shaped for our good and for His glory.
IDENTITY

The Christian is God's child. This privileged identity must be understood and constantly reaffirmed. This is done as God's children consistently gather as a church family for fellowship, encouragement and instruction. Such gatherings positively impact how the Christian thinks, speaks and acts in regard to God, himself and others.
PURPOSE

The mission is comprehensive. As we seek God together and individually, He will gradually and steadily transform each of us into the image of His Son. As He does, we will shine as gospel lights in our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities. Wherever our God takes us, we will encounter the joyous rewards of living as full-time ambassadors for our King.
